Pilar Camus

Pilar Camus is an associate with Futrovsky, Nitkin & Scherr and focuses her practice in the area of criminal defense.

Ms. Camus is a 2002 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania.  After graduating from Penn State, Ms. Camus attended The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in Washington, DC where she earned her juris doctor and a specialized certificate from the Institute for Communications Law Studies. 

While in law school, Ms. Camus served on the executive board of the Student Bar Association, as a writer for the CommLaw Conspectus: Journal of Communications Law and Policy, and held positions on various other committees and student organizations.

Prior to joining Futrovsky, Nitkin & Scherr, Ms. Camus served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County and as Legislative and Regulatory Counsel for the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors.

Ms. Camus is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Prince George’s County Bar Association, Montgomery County Bar Association, Hispanic Bar Association, Women’s Bar Association and the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association.

Ms. Camus is fluent in Spanish and is licensed to practice before the state and federal courts in Maryland.
